Professor Graeme Reid is Chair of Science and Research Policy at University College London where he teaches at postgraduate levels. Graeme also chairs the Board of Trustees at the Campaign for Science and Engineering, is a trustee of the Association of Medical Research Charities and is advisor to the National Centre for Universities and Business. Graeme was specialist advisor to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee during their extensive inquiries into science and Brexit, both before and after the 2016 referendum on EU membership. He advised the same Committee during its more recent work on industrial strategy. Graeme has spent many years at the interface between science and government, including a civil service career that spanned the Treasury, the Cabinet Office and BIS. He is a physicist and chartered engineer.
