The 14th Annual Science & Innovation Conference

The event to educate, prepare and unify academia, public sector leaders and private sector organisations on emerging technologies and policies, enhancing research capabilities and forming successful cross sector collaborations

Over the past 14 years we have had the support of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Council for Science and Technology, InnovateUK, Nesta, and world class academic institutions, and innovative companies from the private sector.

Thursday 7th June 2018

The Science and Innovation 2018 Conference will aim to provide a policy update on the £4.7 billion Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund announced on the 22nd of November 2017 rolled out by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. The objective of the 4 year programme (Industrial Strategy 2020) is to harness academic research to strengthen innovation in the private sector and inform policy makers in central government.

The 2018 Conference will aim to provide a policy update on the UK’s research landscape in alignment with the Industrial Strategy and showcase world-class research projects and successful collaborations between academia and industry. Throughout interactive sessions and networking breaks we will bring together 350+ professionals from central government, academics and the private sector to engage in a discussion of how to best collaborate to meet the industrial strategy ambitions.
